Surcoat Hedwig: The Hedwig surcoat is made based on finds around Hedeby, a very important 8th and 9th century trading center for the Danes. It is the outer garment of the simple women's dress, of Nordic and Viking tradition. It can be decorated, in addition to the belt, with brooches or other decorative elements. On the sides it is joined with two cords, for greater comfort. It is made of thick woven cloth, 100% uncombed cotton, which gives the dress its rough texture and an authentic appearance.

Accessories and underdress are not part of the surcoat.
