Our medieval Siggi overcoat is an interpretation of findings from a female tomb in Birka (Sweden). As there are no complete finds, the shapes of the coat are only conjectures. It is a long-sleeved coat made of fabric (herringbone), it goes to the middle of the calf and has no buttons or loops. Through appropriate findings, it is assumed that it was closed with some type of fibula like the one depicted, for example, but it can also be worn and cinched like a robe.
