Manuela Sancho: (Nació en Plenas 1783 y murió en Zaragoza 1863). Una de las más destacadas heroínas de los Sitios de Zaragoza, en la guerra de la Independencia. (Defensa del convento de S. José). Ya en los últimos momentos de la lucha iba por las calles armada de fusil, peleando junto a los grupos que contenían el avance del ejército francés. Aún herida, defendía la ciudad fusil en mano. Fue condecorada por el general Palafox.
