Complete crusader helmet.
History: The helmet, which began to be seen on the battlefield back in the 12th century, in its earliest forms, turned out to be a winning design, which was used for almost the next 3 centuries. A simple piece to manufacture and, as its long use demonstrates, useful for the protection of cavalry. Normally worn on a mesh saddlebag, or on a cap or sash, it was usually made with 4 pieces riveted together and with a flat cap. It usually had a fixed visor, usually with a fierce look that helped to enhance the already intimidating appearance of a charging knight. For the design of our helmet we have been inspired by an original piece from the mid-13th century that was found in Pomerania and is currently in the Historisches Museum in Berlin. This type of helmet was commonly used from the mid-13th century to the beginning of the 14th century, as can be seen in some documents such as the Codex Manesse, the Bible of the Crusaders or the Cantigas de Santa María.
Specifications: Made with 1.6 mm steel. One size. Inner perimeter of 63-64 cm. Includes leather chinstrap. It can be complemented with leather or padded crespina.
