Sugar loaf Helm: Its function was to avoid direct sword cuts to the neck. Its finish is conical so that, when hit with the sword, it would slip and not be so forceful. Steel bald, made of 1.6 mm plate. and 2mm brass cross. The thickness of the steel may vary due to the artisanal manufacturing of our products. This item has a satin finish which means it has a slightly reflective surface, similar to the finishes on many original armors. Internally lined with adjustable leather. Includes leather chinstrap.
Carbon steel is not treated so it may have rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
